We are seeking a highly skilled, detail‑oriented Indirect Tax Professional to join our Property Tax team as a Tax Analyst – Property Tax, Fixed Assets. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing the increasing complexity and volume of fixed‑asset–related tax responsibilities. You will ensure accurate asset data, support property tax compliance, and help drive data‑informed tax strategies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities Fixed Asset Data Integrity & Reporting
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of fixed asset data used in Property Tax Management Systems (PTMS) and other tax reporting tools, including managing data imports.
  • Develop, analyze, and interpret business personal property tax reports using advanced data analytics tools.
  • Apply data analytics techniques to uncover insights, identify trends, and support data‑driven decision‑making.
Data Management & Reconciliation
  • Gather, extract, and manipulate fixed asset, inventory and supply data from ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle, People Soft, and JD Edwards.
  • Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts to the general ledger.
  • Reconcile property tax accrual and expense accounts.
  • Upload all required compliance data into PTMS.
Tax Analysis & Compliance
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for tax savings, including cost segregation strategies to reduce property tax valuation.
  • Support property tax compliance activities, including valuation reviews, inventory valuation, reporting strategies and audit management.
  • Perform technical tax analysis, prepare supporting documentation and assist in developing audit defense strategies.
  • Review tax returns, tax bills and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Special Projects
  • Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned by leadership.

  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience in property tax or related disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CMI.
  • High proficiency in Excel and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience with property tax compliance systems (e.g. PTMS) and major ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, People Soft, Net Suite or S/4

    HANA.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson’s pay philosophy and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$62,300 - $103,800
