Mortgage Closing Specialist II

• Maintain effective communication with all necessary parties involved in closing a transaction to ensure a seamless closing experience
• Perform a thorough and accurate review of loan files to ensure compliance with State and Federal guidelines
• Follow up on rate lock and document expirations to ensure timely closings
• Prepare and issue Closing Disclosures (CD) and ensure timely funding of loans
• Report system and closing document issues to management

• Associate’s degree plus a minimum of 2 years’ prior mortgage experience, or a combined 4 years of higher education and/or work experience including 2 years in mortgage
• Strong PC skills with knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, and email software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and function independently within time constraints

• Prior mortgage experience in Mortgage Closing at a Lender, Title Company, or Settlement Agent’s office
• Solid knowledge of Department software
• Notary Public certification
