As a Principal Application Engineer, you willbe crucialin pre-sales technical engagements,leveraging your deep industry and technicalexpertiseto support revenue goals and drive customer success. Collaborating closely with Account Manager sand the expanded Solution Engineering Team, you will develop and execute technical strategies tailored to customer needs, ensuring alignment with Bentley's solutions and vision. Your primary focus will be on influencing technical roadmaps, guiding solution fit assessments, andfacilitatingclosures of sales opportunities through technical validation and solution architecture development.

• Deliver tailored presentations toshowcase
  
  Bentley solutions to potential clients, addressing their specific challenges.
• Collaborate with product teams to tailor solutions for individual customer needs, ensuring relevance.
• Lead proof of concept projects to demonstrate Bentley solutions' effectiveness in solving customer challenges.
• Assistin preparing technical proposals and RFP responses, aligning with customer needs.
• Provide technical training for sales teams, partners, and customers to promote solution understanding.
• Stay updated on industry trends and share insights to drive innovation.
• Build strong customer relationships, understanding their evolving needs.
• Work closely with internal teams to align technical strategies with business goals.
• Offer expert guidance on technical best practices and implementation strategies.
• Conduct solution demonstrations to highlightthe benefits of Bentley solutions.
• Competitive Analysis:
  Analyze Bentley Solutions'strengths and weaknesses against competitors.
• Develop technicalcollateralto support sales and marketing efforts.
• Enhance technicalexpertisethrough training and industry participation.
• Ensure solution feasibility and integrity through rigorous validation processes.

• ME/MTech, MS in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 15-20years of industry experience in structural engineering consulting and design; additional experience in solution selling or technical sales is a plus.
• Strong project design lifecycle management skills, with experience in coordination, estimation, and deployment ofnew technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Deep familiarity with Bentley Systems solutions (STAAD, RAM ) and their application in addressing customer needs.
• Ability to travel up to 25% to engage with customers and support sales activities effectively
