Jabil is seeking a Photonics Packaging Engineer II to work remotely.

How will you make an impact?

As a Photonics Packaging Engineer you will contribute to the design, development, and improvement of products and processes, applying engineering principles to solve technical challenges and support manufacturing operations.

What will you do?
  • Participate in the design, development, and testing of new products, components, or systems, adhering to project timelines and specifications.
  • Conduct detailed engineering analysis, simulations, and calculations to validate designs and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure seamless product introduction and sustained production.
  • Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of technical issues arising during development or production, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including specifications, drawings, test plans, and reports.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for existing products and processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist in the selection, qualification, and management of materials, components, and suppliers.
  • Adhere to all company safety standards, quality procedures, and regulatory requirements.
How will you get there?

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Physics or Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Materials Science, or equivalent field) from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing or product development environment.
Experience:
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD, Creo) for design and drafting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and quality systems (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

The pay range for this role is $65,500 - $117,900. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity. The anticipated close date of this job requisition is:
January 14, 2026. As part of the total rewards package, Jabil offers benefits to enhance your health, wealth, and resilient self.
