• Conduct comprehensive searches to identify relevant prior art and provide a complete search history
• Prepare written opinions that apply relevant prior art to patent disclosures
• Maintain proficiency in commercial patent searching databases and proprietary technical publications
• Ensure compliance with the employer’s Code of Business Ethics and Corporate Conduct

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or related field
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with patents or in the intellectual property field
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience in the industry or advanced research in a related field
• Ability to pass a USPTO background check
• U.S. citizenship or legal residency with residency in the U.S. for the last two years

• Previous patent examining or searching experience
• Highly skilled in developing search methodologies and conducting searches
• Strong time‑management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Experience with patent searching tools such as Orbit, Pat Base, Google Scholar, or Pat Seer
• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field is a plus
