What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Design full-course curricula for high school STEM subjects, including scope and sequence, unit plans, and daily lesson plans
  • Develop high-quality instructional materials, including student-facing lessons, labs, and assessments
  • Ensure alignment with New York State standards and the employer's academic vision
  • Embed inquiry-based learning and opportunities for analytical thinking and problem-solving in the curriculum
  • Collaborate closely with academic leaders and other curriculum writers to ensure coherence across courses
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business;
    Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience in developing rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum
  • Proven record of driving strong student outcomes through curriculum design
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with academic leaders and instructional coaches
  • Ability to use feedback and student performance data to iterate and improve curriculum materials
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience in high school STEM education, particularly with AP courses
  • Familiarity with New York State education standards and assessment practices
  • Background in inquiry-based learning methodologies
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development processes
  • Ability to work independently as a 1099 independent contractor
