SENIOR WEB MULTIMEDIA DEVELOPER GDIT’s Strategy and Performance Group (SPG) is looking for a Senior Web Multimedia Developer with multimedia skills who is proficient in several software development tools, talented in visual design, is a self-starter who requires little supervision, pays attention to detail, and enjoys working multiple tasks, in a distributed environment. The person hired for this position will be working on a team of other highly skilled multimedia developers, graphic artists, programmers, instructional designers, and technical writers.

The work can be fast-paced, with the opportunity to work multiple projects for multiple customers concurrently. Innovation is key, and the desire to learn and apply new skills that can help further our customers’ missions.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Senior Web Multimedia Developer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of online training. You will play a crucial role in creating new training and updating existing training all while exploring new technologies, fostering creativity, and maximizing user engagement.

  • Develop and update html pages, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap for eLearning.
  • Collaborate with programmers and contribute solutions to solve technical challenges.
  • Create interactive multimedia instruction (IMI) using Articulate 360 (Storyline).
  • Actively maintain high Quality Assurance standards by implementing storyboards with accuracy, raising questions about storyboard issues, helping test courses, and applying fixes.
  • Create multimedia products based on requirements provided by the customer and the project management.
  • Develop html pages, videos, multimedia interactions, original graphics, 2D animations, audio, and design recommendations.
  • Remain current on web development and multimedia software tools, presentation styles, and development trends.
  • Communicate progress and alert task lead when there are questions or roadblocks.
  • Work with Instructional Designers to select appropriate medium for message or audience, such as web-based training, webinars, Instructor Led Training, or online videos.
  • Adapt and follow project schedules and deadlines.
  • Learn new skills and support new development efforts in Power Apps.
  • Apply 508 compliance using development tools and test for 508 accessibility using JAWS.
What You’ll Need to Succeed

Bring your initiative and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Senior Web Multimedia Developer must have:

  • Education:

    Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
  • Experience:

    5+ years of related experience
  • Security clearance level:
    Must be “clearable,” meaning they already hold a CBP BI, or able to obtain one.
  • US citizenship required
  • Proficient working with interactive Web technologies to blend text, graphics, multidimensional images, sound, and video.
  • Web development coding skills to include CSS, JavaScript, and HTML 5.
  • Proficient in Articulate 360 (Storyline). Proficiency includes an in-depth knowledge of layout, advanced triggers, templates, and application of 508 compliance.
  • Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere.
  • Proficient working with web development tools (including Dreamweaver).
  • Ability to produce videos from storyboards or update existing videos.
  • Be comfortable working directly with customers and Senior staff.
  • Works well in a team, has clear communication, and is patient with customers.
  • Willingness to learn new skills quickly and apply best practices.
  • Comfortable working on a distributed team, while working remotely.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 requirements, and application to product development.
