What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Develop, improve, and maintain all aspects of the employer's Global Trade Compliance programs for imports/exports in the US and Canada
  • Manage regional import/export activities, including HS classifications, tariff monitoring, and customs declarations
  • Collaborate with various teams to implement GTC policies and resolve customs matters
  • Conduct internal/external audits and communicate with government officials regarding compliance
  • Represent GTC in strategic projects, advising on strategy and managing execution for operational efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the industry
  • 8+ years of experience in import/export global trade compliance
  • Deep understanding of WTO, WCO, US, and Canada legal frameworks and customs valuation
  • Proven ability to manage external audits and effectively communicate with government officials
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Active US Customs License
  • Good understanding of import/export laws and regulations in countries outside the US and Canada, particularly in Asia Pacific
  • Experience in setting up global trade compliance policies and procedures
  • Proactive and solutions‑oriented mindset with a continuous improvement mentality

    Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with diverse teams
