Environmental Services Aide

• Cleans, sanitizes and disinfects all areas of the health care facility.
• Maintains cleanliness of patient rooms, operating rooms, exam rooms, treatment rooms, care centers and public areas.
• Cleaning tasks include dusting, mopping, emptying trash, changing bed linen, vacuuming, operating auto scrub machines to clean floors, and other related tasks.
• Collects and transports solid and infectious waste within the health care facility.
• May stock clean linen in linen rooms and departments; maintain proper linen inventory levels.
• Identifies and reports potential and actual safety hazards.
• Reports building items, furnishings, and equipment in need of repair or replacement.
• Utilizes hospital equipment and supplies in a safe and effective manner.
• Keeps cleaning cart and cleaning closets organized, clean, and stocked.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description or 6 months similar work experience
• 0 to 2 years of environmental services experience or high school diploma/GED

• High school diploma or GED

• Medium Work
• Lifting weight up to 50 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequently
• 0.5 FTE (40 hours per two-week pay period)
• 8-hour evening/night shifts
• Every other weekend rotation
• This is an Evening / Night position that can be scheduled 11am-7:30pm, 2:30pm-11:00pm and/or 11pm-7:30am Monday through Friday
• Weekend rotation 1 and 3 Duty List 213 Emergency Department evening shift 2:30pm-11pm

Pay Range: $20.34 to $26.44 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
