We are seeking a Senior EUMS / IT Consultant to support an electric utility environment responsible for day‑to‑day administration, troubleshooting, and enhancement of the Electric Utility Management System (EUMS) and related IT systems. This role blends application administration (utility billing/CIS) with systems/network support and integrations (payments, IVR, reporting, and customer‑facing services).
What you will do EUMS / Utility Billing Application Support- Provide day‑to‑day administration and support for the utility billing system (EUMS / CIS environment).
- Manage user access, roles, and configurations; troubleshoot incidents and data issues.
- Configure and maintain rate codes, custom forms, billing outputs, and business rules.
- Support meter‑reading interfaces and related workflows.
- Develop and maintain custom reports (e.g., Crystal Reports) and recurring operational reports.
- Write and optimize Microsoft SQL Server queries and scripts to support operations and integrations.
- Support data extracts, reconciliations, and ad‑hoc analysis as needed.
- Support online bill pay and payment processing integrations (including lockbox interfaces and APIs).
- Administer and support IVR configurations and scripts; manage access and system settings.
- Support paperless billing workflows and secure bill delivery.
- Support Windows server administration and core infrastructure used by the utility billing environment.
- Assist with network administration and troubleshooting; support wireless administration as applicable.
- Support Cisco voice/phone switch environment (basic administration/troubleshooting).
- Provide administrative support and coordination for SCADA‑related IT needs (as appropriate to the role and access).
- Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and configuration documentation; document changes and resolutions.
- Provide end‑user support and training; communicate clearly with utility leadership and operational teams.
- Help coordinate customer‑facing communications materials (e.g., bill inserts/envelope inserts/lobby displays), as needed.
- 3+ years supporting utility billing/CIS/EUMS (or closely related enterprise applications) in a utility environment (public or private).
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience (queries, troubleshooting, basic performance tuning).
- Experience supporting Windows server environments and enterprise applications.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, VLAN concepts).
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate with operations, finance/billing, and IT stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and customer‑service mindset.
- Direct experience with (or similar utility billing platforms).
- Crystal Reports and/or reporting tool chains.
- Payments integrations (lockbox workflows and/or pay.gov‑type integrations).
- Familiarity with SCADA environments (not necessarily the primary SCADA engineer).
- Cisco voice/telephony administration (basic to intermediate).
- GIS/system integrations and/or data interfaces.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- This role supports a U.S. federal client in an electric utility environment.
- Must be able to pass an extensive background check for administrative access to utility systems.
