The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Habilitation Supervisor 1. DDD provides individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families, services and supports that are flexible, high quality, and member driven. These services provide individuals with opportunities to exercise their rights and responsibilities of independent decision-making and engagement in the community.
Under direct supervision, the Habilitation Supervisor 1 is responsible for supervising and leading the Caregivers that they support, by example. In addition to assisting members with their, daily needs and Individualized Support Plans (ISP).
Applicants for this position cannot be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing Certification and Regulation, cannot have a principal interest in or have a spouse or close family with principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor Agreement, and cannot be employed or subcontracted by a DDD Qualified Vendor.
Job Duties- Maintain compliance with ICF/IID certification requirements & Managed Care surveys including ensuring staff are knowledgeable of & implement all federal and state regulations. Models/monitors behavior to ensure all staff provide consistently high quality of care for members, (i.e., appropriate attire, skin & nail care, bathing & grooming, provision of a safe, hygienic environment, & treating members with dignity, respect, & privacy.
- Completes performance evaluations; approves ETE Time Cards for staff; facilitates shift meetings; communicates with staff regarding job performance; completes work schedules and assures adequate staffing levels at all times; participates in interviews and problem-solving personnel issues. Communicates pertinent information to staff related to their job & individuals for whom they are responsible.
- Completes review of Client Incident Reports to ensure all information is accurate, complete with results sent to the supervisor. Ensures calls are made to administrator on member incidents as required by policy during the same shift. Ensures required documentation is completed on a daily basis (e.g., ETE Time Cards, program data, treatment sheets, member fund requests/reconciliations, etc.).
- Participates in planning team meetings and medical appointments as directed by the home supervisor. Model, monitor, and train staff to ensure compliance with Plans of Care. Ensures monthly reports are completed and submitted timely. Ensure provision of socialization and positive experiences in the community. Administers medications properly upon successful completion of appropriate 16-hour medication technician or medication administration course & monitors to assure all staff are following medication procedures.
- Demonstrates leadership by displaying a positive attitude, promoting teamwork, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, problem solving, giving recognition, and striving to improve services. May perform housekeeping duties, meal preparation, and other miscellaneous duties.

- Agency rules, regulations (including but not limited to Federal Title XIX ICF/IDD), policies, and procedures.
- Person Centered Service Plan (PCSP) process.
