About the role

Availability Window

  • Days From time To time:
    Fri 09:00:00 – 19:00:00, Sat 09:00:00 – 19:00:00
  • Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 an hour. Additional payments may also apply depending on location and skills.
  • It is our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but there are opportunities for a minimum of 12 hours if you prefer.
  • We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and you will have 3 weeks notice of exactly when your shifts will be.
  • We support flexibility; if your available times closely match but do not exactly match the advertised times, we would still love to hear from you.

  • At times, you may be required to accept deliveries into the store.
You will be responsible for
  • Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; giving great natural service.
  • Being passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
  • Working across the store in service, picking, and replenishment areas where required.
  • Putting into practice the training you have received to work safely, effectively, and to serve customers brilliantly.
  • Making decisions that are right for customers and delivering routines in store that meet customer needs at the right time.
  • Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Being knowledgeable about store performance and understanding how we collaborate to drive service, sales, reduce waste, shrink, and deliver profit.
  • Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
  • Being yourself, living our values, and following policies to make everyone feel welcome.
  • Occasionally assisting with deliveries into the store.
You will need
