Financial Accountant

As a Financial Accountant, you will be a key contributor to the organisation’s long‑term vision. You’ll combine technical expertise with strategic thinking to deliver high‑quality financial reports, influence planning, and support innovation across the business. Working closely with leaders and commercial teams, you’ll ensure financial integrity while helping shape the insights that fuel strategic progress. • Engage regularly with all commercial aspects of the business and provide comprehensive, proactive, and value-added finance support and guidance to other Functions within the business.
• Support the preparation of monthly/annual (consolidated) management accounts for all entities, including those in the UK, USA, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, and Europe.
• Business performance reporting, including cost analysis.
• Assist in the compilation of budgets and forecasts: analyse and review expenditure and cash flows.
• Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure the group adheres to current accounting technical standards, the provision of technical accounting opinions, and a hands-on approach in resolving accounting queries.
• Ensure on-time delivery of finance deliverables.
• Support for the statutory audit, preparation, and submission of all audit deliverables in a timely manner and interaction with external auditors.
• Prepare and submit regulatory returns, such as grant claims and VAT.
• Support and guidance to the finance transactional teams.
• Proactive in identifying and implementing business and finance improvements and ensure effective internal controls adherence.
