Tennessee Tech University, 1000 N Dixie Avenue, Cookeville, TN 38505. Online applications accepted only.

Schedule:

Full‑time and part‑time shifts available: AM (8:00 am – 3:00 pm) and PM (3:00 pm – 11:00 pm). Details provided upon interview.

Pay Range: $12.00 – $14.00 per hour. Prior food‑service experience preferred but willingness to train is required.

Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition.

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on the conveyor to the dish‑washing machine, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver using burnishing machines, tumblers, chemical dips, buffing wheels, and hand cloths, following assigned equipment and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
• Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam‑clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help load and unload supplies and product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
