Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Electrician to support, maintain, and improve the electrical systems and controls of our automated packaging equipment. This role involves troubleshooting electrical issues, installing new components, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring maximum equipment uptime in a high-speed production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on automated packaging machines, conveyors, labeling machines, and robotic arms.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults in PLC-controlled systems, motor controls, sensors, relays, and drives (VFDs/servos).
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians and production teams to resolve electrical issues efficiently.
• Program or modify PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) as needed to support equipment changes or upgrades.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation for electrical repairs and installations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Assist in the training of maintenance personnel in electrical troubleshooting and repair techniques.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree in electrical technology preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems including 480V 3-phase, control panels, and automation systems.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and safety circuits.
• Ability to use electrical testing tools such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and oscilloscopes.
