Summary
The Stacker Operator manages all end‑of‑line activities for the corrugator, ensuring sheets are stacked, organized, and prepared for downstream production. This role is vital to maintaining flow, quality, and safety, requiring a proactive individual who is eager to learn multiple machine functions and optimize production efficiency.
PositionLocation: Conyers, GA PSS
Shift: 2nd and 3rd Shift Available
Duties And Responsibilities- Operate corrugator conveyor lines and unitizers according to the production schedule.
- Count and verify units; ensure accurate load tags are present and protective top/bottom sheets are correctly applied.
- Monitor equipment proactively; submit maintenance work orders for repairs and assist with basic troubleshooting/cleanup.
- Provide cross‑training in Slitter Operator and Double backer positions to serve as backup and advance technical knowledge.
- Restack, flip, and band units as necessary; read and interpret corrugator lineups and factory masters.
- Relay critical adjustments to crew members promptly and assist the Corrugator crew as directed by supervision.
- Maintain a clean, hazard‑free workspace and strictly adhere to all company safety policies.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Preferred: 6+ months of experience in a corrugator environment or the corrugated packaging industry.
- Measure accurately with a tape measure at high speed.
- Proficient in calculating percentages, volumes, and rates (High School level math).
- Read, interpret, and follow complex instructions on factory masters and production layouts.
- Practical problem‑solving skills to handle variables in standardized situations.
- Interpret instructions provided in written, oral, or graphic formats.
- Regularly required to stand and walk for long periods; frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
- Manual dexterity required to handle, feel, or finger materials.
- Must have excellent depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts in a loud, industrial setting that may be wet or humid.
- May be required to obtain and maintain a Lift Truck Operator License.
- Meet or exceed annual standards for quality, cost, safety, and productivity.
