Responsible for the safe and efficient movement, stacking, and storage of large, heavy paper rolls (roll stock) used to manufacture corrugated board. Key duties include unloading inbound paper rolls from trailers or rail cars, staging rolls at the Corrugator Wet End based on the production schedule, marking and returning unused "butt rolls" to stock with accurate inventory data (size, diameter, grade), and operating the clamp truck in a safe manner while performing daily equipment inspections.
This role is crucial for maintaining the mill's raw material inventory and supporting continuous corrugator operation.
- Operate the Roll Clamp Truck in a safe manner. Keep warehouse organized and clean.
- Complete roll clamp truck inspection report at the beginning of each shift and turn in maintenance work orders to supervisor for needed repairs.
- Learn to read corrugator lineups. Adheres to daily production schedule and service goals.
- Put rolls from the corrugator roll room receiving/conveyor to stock lanes within the warehouse.
- Take rolls from the corrugator, always taking buttrolls first, and record all rolls taken to and from the corrugator on the mill wide systems.
- Use RF Scanner to scan rolls to and from warehouse and make sure all rolls have tags.
- Unload rolls from trailers and/or rail cars. Check for and note any physical damage to the rolls.
- Turn in roll stock tallies to the corrugator supervisor or Scheduling Department.
- Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
- Additional duties will be assigned by management.
- Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.
- Prior Roll Stock Clamp Truck experience.
High school diploma or GED.

Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
Language SkillsAble to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
