Job Description
HAVER & BOECKER USA is seeking experienced Industrial Electricians to join our dynamic team! In this position, you will assemble and build equipment according to mechanical, pneumatic and schematic drawings, and perform all electrical aspects of the assembly process such as wiring components and installation of PLCs. You will also perform other various duties within the assembly department to meet departmental goals.
Job Description
HAVER & BOECKER USA is seeking experienced Industrial Electricians to join our dynamic team! In this position, you will assemble and build equipment according to mechanical, pneumatic and schematic drawings, and perform all electrical aspects of the assembly process such as wiring components and installation of PLCs. You will also perform other various duties within the assembly department to meet departmental goals.
Responsibilities:
- Build all equipment as specified in drawings and pneumatic diagrams and install pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical components
- Installation and wiring of all electrical components in the machine including PLC’s, contractors, motors, and terminal blocks according to schematic drawings
- Test equipment, components, and parts during and after assembly and correct errors and malfunctions if required
- Troubleshoot electrical issues
- Test components such as photo eyes, sensors, motors, breakers, contractors, etc.
- Build control stations
- Prepare components and equipment for dispatch and detach and label parts if necessary
- Provide technical support to customers and other departments if required
- Troubleshoot various types of equipment and conduct service and installation visits at customer facilities if required
- At least 2 years of experience in an industry-related field
- Journeyman Electrician certified (preferred)
- Excellent technical understanding
- knowledge of pneumatic controls and assembly
- High level of detail and accuracy
- Proficient English communication skills (a second language would be an asset Spanish, German)
- Ability to read and understand schematics and pneumatic drawings
- Basic knowledge of hand tools
- Proficient organizational skills
- Flexible and able to work on weekends and holidays if required
