Position: EMT or Paramedic - Full Time

Overview

Medcor is hiring a full-time EMT or Paramedic to be the Clinic Manager at our construction site clinic in Conyers, GA. The hours are Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm. Days and hours may change or vary based on client needs, with potential weekend shifts as needed. Applicants should be comfortable working in a construction environment, able to climb stairs, and work at heights as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight and support of clinic workflows, logistics, and scheduling.
  • Manage clinic operations and work collaboratively with client stakeholders, including health, safety, environmental, HR and benefits professionals, as well as Medcor medical and operational leadership.
  • Hands-on management includes patient care, ongoing workers’ compensation case management, Return to Work program support, treatment plan monitoring, and OSHA record keeping.
  • Work closely with outside medical providers.
Typical Day
  • Administer and manage health service functions and daily clinic operations.
  • Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees.
  • Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols).
  • Build and maintain internal team relationships.
  • Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts.
  • Collaborate with client professionals in health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Collaborate with client human resources and benefits professionals on clinic issues.
  • Document and manage information using electronic medical records software and other tools.
  • Pre-employment and post-offer screenings.
  • Physical Assessment Testing (PATs).
  • Case management and OSHA record-keeping.
Qualifications
  • Be able to operationally lead and support a clinic team.
  • Have valid licensure for the position and current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Strong computer and other technology skills (navigate cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc.), and familiarity with EMR software.
  • Be able to lift a 50 lb emergency response bag.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive, outgoing personality and willingness to go above and beyond.
  • Passionate about people and providing the best care possible.
  • Be able to have fun.
Preferred
  • Experience working in a construction environment.
  • Relevant occupational health experience.
  • Experience in emergency medicine or critical care.
