The position of Administrative Assistant will provide general office and personnel support as needed. The primary function of the role is to help those at the site to be as efficient as possible by providing the necessary support to allow them to focus on the value-added parts of their roles and stay on track and on time. This role will be responsible for overseeing a variety of tasks ranging from Accounting Purchase Orders to Heat Numbers to Mill Test Reports (MTRs).
This is a multifaceted working opportunity.
- Provide administrative support to Supply Chain department (Logistics/Procurement).
- Provide the accounting department with Purchase Orders in a timely manner.
- Download Mill Test Reports and save them into a database.
- Accurately determine heat numbers and match them to coordinating MTR’s.
- Work effectively in a professional environment.
- Work efficiently with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
- This is an individual contributor role that will support the supply chain organization.
- Consistent dependability and availability.
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced office environment.
- Aptitude to learn new systems.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel and Word as well as skilled use of office equipment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of standard office procedures and equipment.
- Skill in learning new computer software packages.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 1-2 years of experience in the administrative assistant field.
The physical demands are those associated with working in a typical office environment and miscellaneous filed travel.
