Individual Tax Preparer Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Individual Tax Preparer Specialist to join our team for the current tax season.

• Schedule: 3–5 days per week through April 15
• Location: Conyers, GA (non-remote, in-office only)
• Pay: $30–$35 per hour

• Minimum 3+ years of individual tax preparation experience
• Strong proficiency in Pro Series Tax Software (required)
• In-depth knowledge of IRS individual tax law and compliance requirements
• Experience preparing Form 1040 and related schedules (A, B, C, D,
  
  E)

• Prepare and review individual federal and state tax returns accurately and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with current tax laws and firm procedures
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding tax matters
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive client information
• Assist with amendments, extensions, and prior-year returns as needed

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced tax-season environment
• Professional, reliable, and client-focused
• Available to work consistently through April 15
• Familiarity with tax credits, deductions, amendments, and extensions
• Experience with state and multi-state tax returns
• Understanding of IRS due diligence and preparer compliance standards
