Specialist Community Public Health Nursing – Wrexham UniversitySuccessful applicants will undertake Specialist Community Public Health Nurse training (SCPHN) to develop the knowledge and skills required to function safely and effectively as a Health Visitor. This will be achieved through support, education and guidance from the Higher Education Institute, a Practice Supervisor (PS), a Practice Assessor (PA) and a Professional Lead.
Applicants may be eligible for funding through HEIW. You will be supernumerary for the duration of the course and allocated a qualified Health Visitor practice supervisor and practice assessor. You will learn all aspects of the Health Visitor role while undertaking practical experience within a Health Visiting team in the Central area, building experience and confidence in practice while studying the theoretical components of the public health course.
Requirements& Preferences
- Good knowledge of health visiting principles and practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Desirable:
Ability to speak Welsh. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
