Position: Orthopedic Surgery Advanced Practitioner near Myrtle Beach

Overview

Conway Medical Center is seeking a dynamic Provider for our Orthopaedic service line. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Orthopaedic in our community by leading a well-established program into its next phase of growth. The Provider will integrate into an important role in providing world class patient care, expanding clinical services, and elevating patient-centered care across the service line.

Responsibilities
  • Standard office hours (Mon-Fri / 8am-5pm)
    • Half-day Fridays and light call rotation with APP coverage
  • Practice Call

    Schedule:

    Shared call schedule, 1:5 rotation (will go to 1:6 with full recruitment) for patient care needs through telephone calls - also supported by after-hours nurse triage.
  • Support Staff:
    The provider will have a team consisting of their own clinic support staff
  • EMR:
    Cerner
  • Clinic/Facility:
    • 2 clinic locations (adjacent to campus and 2nd location 8.5 miles from campus south of Myrtle Beach)
    • Main campus 10 ORs (2 Hana Tables, Beach Chair, Multiple New C-arms, DaVinci)
  • Support Staff: would be joining a dedicated team of orthopedic nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and experienced surgical teams that are supported by 30+ therapists in the market's largest PT/OT group employed by CMC.
Facilities & Support
  • Main Campus:
    Currently 10 procedure rooms (pre and post operative area)
  • Single-site setup: ASC, clinic, and hospital integrated for efficiency
  • Imaging/Diagnostics: PET scanning, 64-slice CT, 3-D mammography, breast MRI, high-definition endoscopy/bronchoscopy
  • ACGME Accredited:
    Medical students, CMC Family Medicine Residency, transitional year, Sports Medicine Fellowship program
  • Currently undergoing submission to become accredited by The American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
