Outpatient Therapist for our Adolescent IOP Program – Opportunity!
Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is a psychiatric hospital that began offering substance abuse and mental health services in 2002. Primarily established to house adolescents, Lighthouse has transitioned to offering a full spectrum of acute inpatient services to adults and seniors as well. Since 2010, Lighthouse has expanded its mental health and substance abuse services. In 2013, Lighthouse opened a 28-day inpatient chemical dependency rehabilitation unit—the first of its kind in the Grand Strand area.
In 2015, Lighthouse opened an acute adolescent unit to meet the needs of teens and their families in the Grand Strand. In 2022, Lighthouse opened an Adult Substance Use Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program. At Lighthouse, we strive to perform at a high level for our patients and their families.

The qualified Outpatient Adolescent Clinician must be able to provide direct and indirect quality clinical care to patients with substance abuse or chemical dependency problems. The ideal candidate will be well versed in program development and implementation, care and discharge planning, and work within a group environment. Candidate must be responsible for comprehensive assessment of persons whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness, behavioral disturbance, substance issues or inability to function or maintain in the community.
Assists law enforcement, family members and others with admission process, both voluntary and involuntary. Makes referrals to community resources as appropriate. Coordinates discharge planning through the medical staff. The therapist is expected to function as a member of the multidisciplinary team and participate in the community relations program of the organization. Participates in continuous performance improvement activities. Communicates with outpatient referral sources, families/guardians, and outpatient aftercare providers.
