Assistant/Associate Professor of Management (Operations)

The

E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University invites applicants for a full-time tenure‑track position in the Department of Management and Decision Sciences at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, beginning Fall 2026. The position will involve teaching, research, and service.

Expected teaching areas include operations management, with a secondary focus in business statistics or decision analysis. The typical teaching load is three courses per semester, with delivery modalities that may include face‑to‑face, hybrid, and/or online formats.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. or D.B.A. from an AACSB accredited institution in operations management, supply chain management, management science, or a related discipline. Candidates with a completed Ph.D./D.B.A. must demonstrate a consistent record of publication in quality refereed journals. A.B.D. candidates with a clear plan for completion by August 2026 are also encouraged to apply.

• Terminal degree (Ph.D. or D.B.A.) in operations management, supply chain management, management science, or a related field from an AACSB or regionally accredited institution.
• Strong potential for excellence in teaching.
• Consistent record of research publication in quality refereed journals.

• Prepare course content, syllabi, and learning management system site for each course and/or lab assigned each semester.
• Communicate to students after reviewing assignments; calculate and assign grades through established procedures listed in the Faculty Manual.
• Track and report absences as directed by the Office of the Registrar.
• Conduct research to create and add to knowledge in the field and train students in related research techniques.
• Hold regular office hours each week and engage in University‑related activities including committee assignments, meetings, ceremonies, events, and scholarly pursuits as prescribed in the Faculty Manual.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
