Overview

Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) – Part-time position rting hourly rate: $15.00 USD per hour.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to understand and solve their specific needs; resolve guest concerns with problem solving and sound judgment.
• Help guests understand current promos, store activities, and events; be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to improve their experience.
• Promote and explain Target Loyalty programs; assist with enrollment as needed.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and best practices; minimize guest wait time while maintaining accuracy.
• Explain how to use features in the Target App (Wallet, Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, online ordering) and assist with enrollment and activation.
• Handle returns by following policy and seeking guidance from leadership when needed; partner with leaders as required to solve guest needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; stock supplies during store hours as needed while remaining available to guests.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.

• Enjoy interacting with guests and helping team members; capable of thriving in a fast-paced, active environment requiring teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
• Effective communication, positive attitude, and attention to detail; ability to educate guests about products and services.
• Ability to use handheld scanners and technology devices; work independently or as part of a team; stay focused and calm to accomplish multiple tasks.
• Physical ability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds with or without assistance; occasional heavy lifting may be required.
