Licensed Radiology Technician:Full-Time
Radiology Technicians are expected to work as an integral part of the Prime Care team, helping to provide quality care to our patients in a time-appropriate manner. The following are responsibilities, requirements, and expectations of a Prime Care Rad Tech:
Responsibilities- Job-Specific Duties
- Efficiently operate X-ray machine
- Keep necessary radiology certifications up-to-date
- Maintain radiology training as well as that for drug screens and proper collection for lab processing
- Perform radiology instruction for other staff with temporary radiology licenses
- Express critical thinking skills by asking appropriate questions and thoroughly collecting patient information
- Assist with blood draws, PFTs, I&Ds, rapid testing, and other procedures as required
- Use appropriate forms and documentation for all procedures and reporting protocols
- Chart appropriately and efficiently in patient’s progress note
- Use eCW templates effectively to help ensure accuracy and billing collections
- Manage time by taking personal initiative to complete necessary tasks
- Display personal drive for accuracy and initiate clinical activities in order to ensure care processes are completed in the best manner for the patient
- Perform other patient care activities as requested by provider
- Set Others up for Success
- Perform all required opening/closing duties, including stocking and cleaning patient rooms; ensure self and work station are ready when shift starts
- Anticipate, listen and respond to customer needs in a courteous, tactful manner
- Follow up and provide feedback in a timely and respectful manner
- Demonstrate conservation and responsible use of resources; treat property with respect
- Maintain composure, great attitude, and moral integrity under pressure
- Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with team members, vendors, and patients
- Present a positive image of PCMC through professional appearance and behavior

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to work evenings and weekends
- FT:
Work a minimum of 30 hours per week, up to 40 or above, depending on clinic needs - Ability to read and write English according to proper grammar rules
- Patience, sound judgment, and discretion dealing with confidential information
- Organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience with computer data entry
- If Medical Assistant, current MA license required
- Knowledge of EHR systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology, regulations, and medical office procedures
