Job SummaryOpportunity arises to work as a receptionist within County Durham & Darlington Urgent Treatment Care Centre at Shotley Bridge.
Responsibilities- Greeting patients and visitors and performing reception duties such as filing, photocopying, emailing, scanning and booking transport.
- Managing patient information accurately and timely within the department.
- Registering new patients in Systm One, ensuring data is entered correctly.
- Booking fracture clinic appointments and arranging transport where medically necessary.
- Handling telephone calls from patients, GP's, NHS 111 and other health professionals with courtesy and professionalism.
- Co‑ordinating home visits and ensuring clinical notes are ready for GP's.
- Dealing with distressed or abusive customers face‑to‑face or by phone, maintaining confidentiality and a non‑judgemental attitude.
- Providing support to patients and health professionals with requests and queries.
- Working under pressure in both supervised and unsupervised settings, complying with departmental policies and procedures and upholding quality standards.
- Essential:
Reception experience. - Desirable: NHS Experience.
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
- Keyboard proficiency.
- Excellent communication skills.

Flexible working.
- Essential:
Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above. NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration/Customer Care (or working towards) or equivalent knowledge/experience. - Desirable: ECDL Qualification.
