Teaching Personnel are seeking a caring, creative and highly motivated Nursery Teacher to join a welcoming primary school based in the DH8 area. This is an exciting opportunity for an Early Years specialist to lead a nurturing and engaging learning environment, supporting the developmental needs of nursery-aged children.
Job Description
As the Nursery Teacher, you will deliver high-quality EYFS provision, planning and delivering lessons that inspire curiosity, independence and early learning. You will work closely with support staff to provide a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment, ensuring that every child’s progress is effectively supported and celebrated.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Create a warm, stimulating and purposeful learning environment, indoors and outdoors.
Assess children’s development, track progress and maintain accurate records.
Adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs, including those with SEND.
Support social and emotional development through positive relationships and play-based learning.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff.
Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding progress and wellbeing.
Uphold safeguarding, health and safety and school policies at all times.
Requirements for the Role
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS).
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
Experience teaching in an Early Years or nursery setting.
A nurturing, creative and child-centred approach to teaching.
Strong communication, organisational and behaviour management skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
