Pay$16/hr. plus eligibility for monthly performance incentives (both store and personal‑level bonus potential).
What You Will DoThe Contractor Sales Trainee will sell products and services offered by 84 Lumber to current and new clientele. This position is responsible for creating positive customer relationships. The Contractor Sales Trainee is building a book of business to become a Contractor Sales Representative. Other duties may be assigned by Store Manager.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
- Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; suggest products and services to meet those needs.
- Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any issues that may arise post‑sale.
- Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
- Maintain detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
- Create and continually grow book of business and acquire new customers.
- Create material estimates/read blueprints.
- Source special order material.
- Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to function in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Reading prints.
- Creating material estimates.
- Sourcing special orders.
