Customer Service Rep, Retail Associate/ Customer Service
The Retail Service Specialist will support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. In the absence of an Assistant or Store Manager, the Specialist will also assume shift management responsibilities.
OverviewBilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. The role includes handling all customer‑facing responsibilities within the retail showroom and managing store operations such as opening, closing, and security.
Responsibilities- Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels in the showroom, ensuring execution of programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot.
- Maintain telephone responsiveness in accordance with company policy.
- Process buy‑online/ship‑to‑store, hub‑to‑store, and store‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders promptly and notify customers of shipment arrivals.
- Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently, following procedures and using the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
- Process retail customer returns and exchanges, issue refunds accurately, and manage returned merchandise in the returns area.
- Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before products leave the store.
- Communicate Zip Line messages, and coordinate Image Maker and merchandising tasks.
- Ensure team members adhere to posted schedules, and that any changes or deviations are approved by management.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including day‑end procedures, money/deposit safeguards, bank deposits, security checks, and vehicle locking.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
- Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
- Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
- ASE Certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
