Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse
Deliver specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns
Monitor vital signs and provide respiratory, nutritional, and medication support
Operate and manage advanced NICU equipment, including ventilators and IV pumps
Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and NICU support staff
Provide compassionate education and communication to families
Maintain accurate, real-time documentation in accordance with hospital standards

Qualifications of the Travel Nurse
Active RN license (Texas or Compact State)
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent Level III or IV NICU experience
Strong neonatal assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Family-centered care approach in high-acuity environments
