- Graduate of a school of professional nursing.
- Must have 2+ years or more of ED experience.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas, or immediately eligible.
- Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment, before patient care is administered independently.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of employment.
- 2 positions available and they are 12hr shifts; one is a day shift (7am start) and one is a night shift (7pm start).
- Hourly range is $40.00/hr–$48.00/hr depending on experience.
- Shift differential on nights is $4.50/hr.
- A full benefits package included as well.
- Under general supervision of the Charge Nurse, the Staff RN provides professional nursing skills utilizing the nursing process in the delivery of patient care. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for assigned patients. Serves as a patient advocate within the health care system.
- Responsible for performing patient care requiring specialized training and skill.
- Accountable for assuring the safety, comfort, care, and treatment of patients according to legal, ethical, professional and institutional standards.
- Participates in the hospital’s Quality Improvement and Service Excellence programs.
- Position is located an hour from Houston.
- Will work with a great group of nurses.
- Facility is about 120 beds, accredited, not-for-profit acute care community hospital.
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will provide quality patient care in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrating critical thinking skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities- Assess and triage patients upon arrival.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Perform emergency procedures such as airway management, spinal taps, and acute pain management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor patients’ conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post‑discharge care instructions.
- Valid RN license in the state of practice.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
- Proficiency in dialysis, neonatal ventilator care, and laboratory interpretation.
- Experience with Mammography, Travel Nursing, and Assisted Living is a plus.
- Strong skills in acute pain management and airway management.
