Job Summary and Qualifications

The Chest Pain Coordinator manages a comprehensive Chest Pain program aligned with national standards from the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, Society of Chest Pain Centers, and Medicare regulations. Manages CV Data including ACC, Action, and STS registries.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and supporting education for Chest Pain Accreditation requirements.
• Recommending protocols for best practices in cardiac care.
• Analyzing and trending data related to cardiac patient throughput and outcomes.
• Providing data insights to hospital leadership to improve processes.
• Ensuring continuity of care with medical staff and EMS partners.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; B.S.N. preferred.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience managing chest pain patients.
• Current Texas or compact state RN licensure.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
