Production Shift Supervisor
Huntsman is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor supporting the Performance Products Division located in Conroe, TX. This position will report to the Manager, Operations.
Job ScopeSupervises associated production employees within the assigned process area(s) to ensure compliant, effective, and efficient operation of assigned process units or utility systems.
In Summary, As The Production Shift Supervisor, You WillWith minimal supervision and moderate decision‑making:
- 20% Responsible for ensuring continued compliance by assigned reports to all safety and environmental policies & procedures for area of responsibility
- 20% Responsible for managing assigned production employees in the areas of orientation, work assignments, training compliance, employee development, and performance management, including coaching, counseling, performance reviews, and corrective actions
- 20% Achieve operations and production goals with units operating at target rates and on-spec within equipment and environmental limitations
- 10% Maintain accurate records, process metrics & documentation according to guidelines, and prepare both regular and ad‑hoc reports as needed
- 10% Manage overtime for Operations personnel appropriately to ensure safe operations of all units at all times
- 10% Communicate with both internal and external customers (i.e., raise issues and concerns to management, order necessary materials & supplies, interface with engineering, etc.)
- 10% Perform regular walk‑arounds of all units to ensure good housekeeping, safety and area procedure compliance, safety hazard recognition, etc.
- Follow instructions and perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
- Assist other employees in accomplishment of Huntsman company goals
- Participate in and complete company‑required training programs
- Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications Education required- High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of job‑related experience or an associate's degree in Process Technology/Management or related field with 3+ years of job‑related experience
- Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs
- Must have good analytical, problem solving, and leadership skills
- Must have a solid understanding of safety and environmental requirements
- Communicates tactfully and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and maintains effective work relations with those encountered during the course of employment
- Flexibility and adaptability to new instructions and/or dynamic organizational priorities is critical for job success
