Pay Rate: $18/hr
Location: Conroe, TX 77303
Schedule: 12 hours shift (6AM to 6:30 PM and 6PM to 6:30AM), rotates between day shift & night shift every 30 days
Job Description:
Provides housekeeping support to production lines by methods of emptying trash, cleaning up paper waste and dust, and cleaning up spills on production floor.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Daily Responsibilities:
- Remove paper waste from production lines and transport in using large trash carts.
- Operate baler, compactor and machines, safely and efficiently.
- Move waste bales to trash area using a pallet jack
- Waste bales by pallet jack to trash area.
- Maintain cleanliness of production floors, walkways, and warehouse edges by sweeping and picking up debris.
- Empty trash containers throughout the warehouse at least once per shift or as needed.
- Perform special cleaning tasks, including scrubbing, working in wet areas and scraping floors.
- Assist in rewinder and packing areas with tasks such as stripping waste rolls using utility knives and cut resistant gloves.
- Support general housekeeping efforts for special projects or coverage needs.
- Use of cleaning tools, electrical hand tools, and compressed air, as needed for performing assigned tasks.
- Attention to detail and safety as this position will be working around moving parts.
- Must be able to communicate with others and take verbal, written and audio direction.
- Must be able to read signs, safety processes and procedures and follow detailed instructions.
- Some technical ability to operate or learn operation of simple machinery (Example: Bailer and compactor operation). Small Hand Tools, manual and electric.
- Ability to follow company safety policies and use safety personal protection equipment as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Good Attendance.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
- Forklift Experience and or pallet jack experience a plus.
- Extremely high attention to detail.
- Must be able to complete duties with minimal supervision and work independently.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
- Ability to work rotational shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
