Transporter, Patient Care Technician

Job Summary

As our Patient Transporter, you will provide essential assistance and transportation for patients and related items across our campus, ensuring a highly customer‑sensitive and seamless experience. PRN rate is $18/hr.

• Transport inpatients and outpatients promptly to and from patient rooms, emergency rooms, recovery rooms, ICU, clinics and radiology, as observed by supervisor.
• Confirm patient identification by verbal confirmation and , greet and introduce yourself, sign patient out/in at nursing unit, and safely place or assist in transferring patients to wheelchair, stretcher or bed.
• Consistently observe patient condition, IV, and medication malfunction during transport and report promptly to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and report any malfunctioning equipment.

• High School Graduate, General Studies (upon hire) or High School GED (upon hire).
• Basic Life Support (CPR) within 14 days.

The Woodlands Hospital, a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (newborn and Level II nurseries), surgery, pathology, pulmonary services, and sleep disorders. Clinical affiliations include The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Radiation Treatment Center and Texas Children’s Hospital.

$15.00 - $20.18 per hour.
