The Regional MRI Modality Manager is responsible for operational oversight, quality assurance, technical staff supervision and development, monitoring, reporting and auditing technical operations across multiple assigned outpatient imaging centers. This role combines leadership and general MRI services with the development, implementation, and ongoing management of research, modality protocol oversight. It requires collaboration with leadership and oversight including but not limited to site managers, lead administrators and corporate quality to ensure the highest caliber of patient care and image quality is consistently delivered.

In partnership with Quality, this role leads the creation, implementation and ongoing refinement of regional MRI programs, including protocol, standardization and quality monitoring. The role focuses on expansion of services within MRI, ensuring ongoing cross‑training of staff, upskilling technical knowledge of direct reports and driving strategic growth of research opportunities across the state’s micro markets. It also oversees supply ordering by designated technical staff, manages supply costs in a fiscally responsible manner and works with the Operational Leadership team to maintain appropriate staff volume ratios to drive profitability  addition, it includes responsibilities in quality assurance and acts as a clinic liaison.

Specific

duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Deliver high‑quality diagnostic imaging services efficiently and professionally, ensuring confidentiality and personalized attention. Regional MRI Managers may actively scan 10‑15% of weekly scheduled hours however, administrative time is a function of the role.
  • Maintain high level visibility and interaction with site personnel, technologists, radiologists, service vendors and support personnel as well as the multi-disciplinary team of leaders across the organization that support technical functions. Foster sound relationships with referring practices, optimally align and support vendor relationships and work closely with our procurement team. Assist with interviewing candidates for vacant roles, hiring new team members, oversee performance management, facilitate professional development initiatives, and conduct employee disciplinary actions, including terminations.

    Conduct new hire and annual clinical assessments, as well as performance reviews for team members. Maintain good customer relations with referring physicians and engage with the Sales team to bring forward any concerns.
  • Oversee technical staff, equipment performance, maintain safety and constant readiness standards, act as a collaborative partner with Quality to deliver safe, quality imaging services at all times and actively participate in surveys, inspections and accreditation processes. Comply with clinical accreditation requirements and submission deadlines. Assist with clinical accreditation applications and inspections. This role will support sites and staff to ensure all regulatory requirements are met and ensure compliance with license regulations within the state.

    Identify and investigate areas of concern to preclude patient incidents. Promptly investigate and report for correction any service malfunction to ensure minimal downtime, while maintaining detailed accurate records. Ensure all required supplies are on hand to avoid disruption of service.
  • Work with the Clinical leadership and Radiologists to ensure protocols are current and quality services are being provided. Consult with Radiologists regarding situations requiring physician intervention. Actively engage with Case Managers on a daily basis to ensure tech workflows are in place, followed and medical reports are delivered to referring providers electronically. Collaborate with the account executive team supporting sales function.
  • Active participation in site leader daily huddles as well as weekly huddles with each site’s technical staff to keep staff abreast of changes, concerns, implemented practices/processes, etc. Host, at minimum, quarterly meetings focusing on education, training, updates on policies,…
