• Determine donor eligibility of new and returning donors for plasmapheresis procedures and immunizations by conducting evaluations to ensure criteria are met in accordance with SOPs, FDA, CLIA, and cGMP.
• Review informed consent forms for plasmapheresis and immunization, explaining procedures, potential adverse events, immunization schedules, antibody formation, and dose administration, and offer donors the opportunity to refuse participation.
• Perform medical history reviews and health assessments for donors.
• Use SOPs to facilitate compliance with regulations.
• Review donor management system and/or immunization paperwork to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Compile data in a timely fashion to confirm eligibility and consult with the donor center Licensed Physician as needed.
• Classify donors to the appropriate program.
• Monitor donor reactions to plasmapheresis and document accordingly.
• Perform duties for the Hyperimmune Program, if applicable, as described in SOPs.
• Review all normal and abnormal test results in the donor management system (Nexlynk) to determine continued donor eligibility.
• Ensure confidentiality of employee, donor, and donor center records while performing all duties.
• Counsel donors with abnormal test results or eligibility concerns and defer them according to the donor deferral matrix, referring to the appropriate health department when applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program, such as Physician, Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse). Certified/licensed as an emergency medical technician (EMT Basic, EMT 2-intermediate, or EMT 3-advanced/paramedic, if allowable).
• Must work within the scope of the professional license/certification, as defined by the state in which the work is performed.
• One (1)-year experience in the hospital, field care, or plasma center preferred.

• Maintain current and valid license and pass medical credential evaluation.
• Must successfully complete training program and competency assessments using OPI-approved training modules or training curriculum.
• Must maintain current CPR certification.
