Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Representative - $18/year

A local company in the Conroe, TX area is searching for a Customer Service Representative to handle customer inquiries, problem resolution, and relationship building. This is a temp-to-hire, full-time position in a fast-paced environment, and the ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while maintaining accurate records and supporting company growth initiatives.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with breaks and lunch

Responsibilities:

• Receives orders by answering the telephone, reading mail, e-mail and facsimiles
• Completes orders by verifying and calculating price and shipping costs, verifying product availability
• Keeps customers informed by confirming and clarifying orders, noting shipping or back-order delays
• Ensures delivery by routing orders to the shipping department, tracking delayed orders
• Provides information by answering questions; keeps Senior Management updated by reporting customer problems, inquiries, and new sales
• Maintains historical records by filing orders and related documents; maintains customer records by updating account information in database
• Attracts potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products; mails brochures, catalogs as requested; advises Senior Management of inquiries
• Resolve product or service problems by confirming and clarifying the customer's complaint; entering the information into a database; notifying appropriate personnel of the complaint; tracking status of complaint; following up to ensure resolution
• Ensure compliance with Federal regulations, Quality System Procedures, and Company policies by following all procedures and regulations
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. All other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• High school diploma
• One (3) year experience in customer service, entry-level marketing position or other equivalent experience
• Analytical ability, strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional ethics, tact and courtesy in dealing with suppliers and customers
• MS Office experience – Excel
