We are expanding our touring production team and seeking a driven, skilled Audio Visual Technician who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments.
The RoleAs a Live Event AV Technician, you will play a key role in supporting medium- to large-scale productions across a wide range of industries. This is a travel-based, hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working on-site, solving problems in real time, and contributing to high-level live productions.
You will support events from pre-production through strike, assist with warehouse preparation between shows, and occasionally support installation projects.
What You’ll Do- Set up, operate, and strike professional audio, video, and lighting systems
- Support concerts, festivals, corporate events, and music-based productions
- Follow stage plots, wiring diagrams, run-of-show schedules, and technical schematics
- Drive a 26’ box truck for equipment transport (no CDL required)
- Handle cabling, basic rigging support, power distribution, and system configuration
- Maintain, test, and prep equipment in the warehouse between events
- Support installation operations when not on shows
- Document event notes, gear usage, and maintenance logs
- Communicate professionally with production leads and clients
- Frequent U.S. travel (some trips may extend several days)
- Overtime may be required during peak event seasons
- Per diem provided for each travel day
- Ability to lift and carry 50–75 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move equipment for extended periods
- Hands-on experience in live event audio, video, and/or lighting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with professional AV systems
- Ability to troubleshoot signal flow, software-based systems, and hardware
- Willingness to drive a 26’ box truck long distances
- Availability for extensive travel, including weekends
- Positive attitude and strong desire to learn and grow
- Experience in concerts, festivals, corporate AV, or touring production
- Familiarity with digital audio consoles, switchers, LED walls, projectors, or lighting consoles
- Understanding of DMX, IP networking, low-voltage cabling, and power distribution
- Event logistics or stagehand experience
- Forklift certification (helpful but not required)
- $45,000 – $55,000 annual salary (based on experience and skill level)
