Responsibilities- Design and execute cover layouts for children’s books and related products
- Complete interior text and book layouts with accuracy and consistency
- Prepare print-ready files that meet production and publishing specifications
- Design product packaging and supporting assets as needed
- Implement revisions and feedback efficiently while maintaining design quality
- Maintain organized project files and follow established brand guidelines
- Collaborate with product, editorial, and marketing teams to meet deadlines
- Support various interdepartmental design needs as assigned
- Assist with quality control and pre-press checks to ensure accuracy
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art, or a related field is a plus
- Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Solid understanding of typography, layout, color, and composition
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to take direction, apply feedback, and iterate quickly
- Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Dependable, self-motivated, and accountable for deliverables
- Alignment with BRAVE Books’ mission and values
- Familiarity with or similar project management tools
- Experience working within Google Drive and shared file systems
- Experience with print production or publishing workflows
- Understanding of brand consistency across products
- Prior internship, freelance, or portfolio work demonstrating layout and production design
