Ellison Development is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance and accounting team. This role will support the accounting function across multiple development projects and entities. The position works closely with the Controller, VP of Finance, and administrative staff to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal organization, and efficient accounting processes.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of construction accounting experience and a strong understanding of GAAP, ASC, and POC. Experience with development accounting is a strong plus.

This role requires someone who is organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.

• Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end close process
• Prepare and review account reconciliations
• Support project and construction accounting, including WIP reporting
• Assist with lender funding and reporting
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, ASC and company policies
• Maintain organized financial and project documentation
• Support the preparation of internal financial reporting
• Assist in the management and reconciliation of intercompany transactions
• Provide support to accounting staff and assist with workflow management
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate project cost tracking
• Support process improvements and maintain strong internal controls
• Perform additional accounting and finance duties as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is a plus
• 3-5 years of construction accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP, ASC and POC accounting standards for revenue recognition
• Experience with development accounting is a plus
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
