Evening Part‑Time Cutting Machine Operator; Short‑Term

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM (4‑hour evening shift)
• Competitive Wages

• Operate the leather or fabric cutting machine efficiently and accurately to cut patterns for sewing.
• Load rolls of fabric or leather onto the cutting machine.
• Inspect materials for quality, flaws, or defects before running cutting programs.
• Accurately cut fabric or leather according to patterns loaded in the cutting system.
• Follow all production specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and a safe, organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

• Ability to read and use a ruler accurately.
• Strong visual accuracy to inspect materials and patterns.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Experience operating a fabric cutting machine (Gerber Z or similar systems preferred).
• Ability to read and understand cutting patterns and yardage requirements.
• Quality‑focused with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to meet established performance goals in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Positive, team‑oriented attitude with strong reliability.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift (4 hours).
• Strong English communication skills:

• Follow all company safety rules and procedures.
• Required PPE:
  • Safety glasses

• Indoor, ventilated furniture manufacturing environment.
• Concrete flooring.
• Heated and cooled workspace.

• Temporary, short‑term role created to support production backlog.
• Employment is at‑will and will end when the project is completed.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
