Symbiotic Services is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our manufacturing clients for a Buyer to support purchasing operations. This role focuses on data-driven purchasing decisions, supplier coordination, and inventory optimization to ensure the timely procurement of materials aligned with production needs.

• Analyze purchasing, usage, and inventory data in Excel to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Recommend purchasing quantities and delivery timing based on forecasts, usage trends, and inventory levels
• Partner with Operations, Planning, and Stockroom teams to maintain balanced inventory and support production needs
• Monitor supplier performance related to pricing, delivery, and quality
• Execute purchase orders based on demand, inventory levels, and production requirements
• Maintain purchasing data within ERP systems, including price updates and item setup
• Support inventory planning, replenishment analysis, and cycle counts as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve purchasing, quality, or parts inquiries

• 3–5 years of experience in a Buyer or Purchasing role (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas and data analysis
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Experience supporting supplier negotiations
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
