The Memory Care Activity Assistant plays a vital and heartfelt role in enriching the lives of residents. With warmth, patience, and genuine care, they help create a joyful and engaging environment where seniors feel seen, heard, and valued.
Responsibilities- Skills Needed

Connecting with residents and understanding their emotional and social needs. - Passion
:
Desire to work with individuals experiencing Alzheimer’s disease and other memory-related dementia, helping each person live every day to the maximum cognitive and physical potential. - Teamwork
:
Collaborating with the care team to support residents holistically. - Time Management
:
Balancing daily schedules, multiple residents, and activity preparation. - Creativity
:
Creating engaging, age-appropriate activities for varying abilities.
- Supportive Presence
- Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to residents, family members, customers and staff.
Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence - High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successful completion of a State approved Nursing Assistant training and competency evaluation program or a CNA competency evaluation program approved by the State. This training can also be provided by the community.
