What You'll Be Doing
- Operate drilling and roof bolting equipment safely and efficiently in underground quarry conditions
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure operational readiness
- Install roof support systems according to site safety standards and engineering specifications
- Monitor ground conditions and communicate hazards or changes to supervisors
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets while maintaining safety protocols
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment in underground environments
- Strong awareness of safety procedures and hazard identification
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in physically demanding conditions
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing operational needs
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level
- $29.76 per hour
