Trailer Mechanic Class 8 Trucks – Dayville, CT
We are currently accepting applications for Trailer Mechanics to support our growing fleet.

Compensation- Hourly Pay $30.57 per hour
- Overtime paid after 40 hours per week

- 5‑day work week (Tuesday‑Saturday or Thursday‑Monday; off Sunday & Monday or off Tuesday & Wednesday)
- Shift: 11:00 pm – 7:30 am or until work is completed (typically 8–12 hours per day)
- Schedule flexibility may be available based on candidate needs
- Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible
- Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventive and as‑needed maintenance of semi‑trailers
- Interpret and follow work orders and technical manuals
- Maintain schedules and document completed preventive maintenance and repairs
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance; ensure work meets manufacturer specifications per FMCSR
- Maintain parts and yard organization to ensure a clean and safe working environment
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a trailer mechanic performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on dry‑storage trailers in a company fleet
- Air‑brake certification
- Familiar with FHWA and FMCSR, and BIT inspections
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Must provide own tools
