Pay: $41–$44/hr, plus shift differential and on‑call pay when applicable Location: Essex, CT

Primary Responsibilities- Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.
- Administers direct care as necessary.
- Administers prescribed medications to patients.
- Make rounds to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
- Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents' condition.
- Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.
- Maintains accurate documentation of all care rendered.
- Responds to resident emergency call system.
- Encourages restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence.
- Attends in‑service training and education sessions, as assigned.
- Assures proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies.
- Shares on‑call duties with designated staff.
- Valid state, multi‑state or compact RN license in good standing. Must have current CPR certification.
- Previous experience in nursing, patient care, or other related fields, at least 6 months of nursing experience in a long‑term care setting preferred.
- Ability to build rapport with patients.
- Compassionate and caring demeanor.
