About the FacilityStonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services (UHS), provides substance abuse treatment for adults in southeastern Connecticut. Services include medical detox, residential addiction treatment, and outpatient care. The Institute welcomes diverse applicants and requires COVID‑19 vaccination compliance.
ResponsibilitiesAs a per diem RN, you will be a key member of the care team, providing continuous supervision and support to clients in the Detox Unit.
- Assess clients upon admission and during treatment, including withdrawal evaluation using approved scales.
- Accurately record and implement physician orders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and measurable goals.
- Administer medications and interventions as ordered.
- Maintain thorough documentation and provide role modeling to clients.
This is a per diem position that requires availability for weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts. Holdovers and overtime may be required.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current Connecticut RN license.
- Minimum one year of experience in mental health or substance abuse care preferred.
- Availability for weekend and holiday shifts; willing to work overtime and holdovers.
